Owner & Advisor
Having worked for a number of Mortgage Lenders over the years, I’ve found that there’s a real tendency for it to seem complex, time-consuming and confusing, made worse by the amount of jargon used!
Ultimately, this has made the whole experience quite daunting and something people really dread, particularly if you’re buying a house for the first time!
I’m so passionate about making it as simple, straightforward and stress-free as possible for everyone, which is why I set up MHC - I genuinely love the feeling when we’re able to make a positive difference to our client's lives
Outside of MHC, I’m a family man, with a fantastic wife and three wonderful young daughters. When I have time, running is my third passion, Gillingham FC my fourth and I’ve even had a brief flirtation with Stand-Up comedy, although it’s fair to say that I’m a far better Mortgage Advisor than I am a comedian…….
Coming from a corporate management background having worked at PwC for over 10 years, being a ‘life-long learner’,
I challenged myself in my late 40s to take on a complete career change and became qualified as a Mortgage & Protection Advisor.
Several years on and my only regret is that I hadn’t moved into this role sooner in my career. I absolutely love what I do every day, working with clients and finding solutions. They say the best job you can find is doing something you love, well I’ve found that!

In my spare time I love reading, mostly biographies, but really anything that takes my fancy.
I started working alongside my wife Elaine supporting a team of Brokers as a Mortgage Administrator in 2020.
This was the start of a new and exciting journey for me, where I've now qualified as a Mortgage & Protection Advisor.
Having originally worked as a Buyer (for BT) and having owned two successful companies of my own, this has given me the skills and experience to transition into this highly customer-focused and solution-based role.
One of my strongest beliefs is to always treat people as I would want to be treated and I keep to this both when working with my clients and in my personal life.
Away from work I love walking our family dog Bella, PC gaming/technology and cooking.
What I need to know
There may be a fee for arranging a mortgage, typically £199 for Residential and Buy-to-Let remortgage applications, £375 for residential and buy-to-let purchase applications and £499 for applications with specialist lenders due to adverse credit. Fees are payable upon receipt of your Mortgage Offer from the chosen lender.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
